| The origin of the Tekko is believed to have come from the “Abumi” (Horse Stirrups). They resemble brass knuckles in construction and the applications are similar to those of empty hand techniques. The construction of the Tekko can be of metal or wood and is generally carried inside the kimono jacket or the sleeves. |
