Garson Ho

Garson began his Martial Arts training with Shotokan Karate in 1992, and has since dabbled in other arts and styles, including Kung Fu, Aikido, Arnis, and Shorinji Kempo. He has always had an interest in learning to use weapons to complement his empty-hand training, but found it difficult to devote sufficient time to practice both karate and weapons.

In 2004, he found that perfect balance with Sensei William Chung, who teaches both Seito Shito Ryu Karate-do and Tesshinkan Kobudo. Since then, Garson has been training diligently in both styles, leading to him earning his Shodan in 2006 in Tesshinkan from Soke Hidemi Tamayose, the founder of Ryukyu Kobudo Tesshinkan.

Garson enjoys Sensei William's fun style of teaching, all the while training to the high standards set by Tamayose Soke. Every year, Tamayose Soke visits Vancouver, and one of the highlights of his visit is having the opportunity to train under his watchful eye.
