Charmaine Wong

Charmaine began her Karate training in 1994 under Sensei Tony Kim of Seiko Kai Shito Ryu Karate-do.

By 1998, Charmaine's talents had rewarded her with a Junior Black Belt. She has been training under Sensei William Chung since 1998 and also began training in Ryukyu Tesshinkan Kobudo (weapons training). She is currently a Black Belt in both Karate and Kobudo.

In 2005, Charmaine was earned her Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) from the International Shihan Kai, which consists of the Japanese Executive council, the American Shihan Kai, & the Canadian Shihan Kai in Osaka, Japan.

• 1999-2000 - Sato Cup
                        o Junior Women's Grand Champion

• 1999-2001 - Provincials
                        o Gold Medal: Kata

• 2000 - Mabuni Cup - Washington State
                        o Gold Medal: Kata (14-15 yrs Girls)
                        o Gold Medal: Kobudo (14-15 yrs Girls)

• 2000 - Canadian Nationals
                        o Bronze Medal

• 2001 - Canadian Nationals
                        o Silver Medal: Kata
                        o Bronze Medal: Kumite

• 2002 - Canadian Nationals
                        o Silver Medal
