Evelyn Wong

In 1995, Evelyn began her Shito Ryu Karate-do training, instructed by Sensei Tony Kim (Seiko Kai Shito Ryu Karate-do).

Evelyn currently trains under the tutalage of, Shihan William and Sensei Alice Chung in the original style of, Seito Shito Ryu Karate-do.

In 2007, Evelyn earned her Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) from the International Shihan Kai, which consists of the Japanese Executive council, the American Shihan Kai, & the Canadian Shihan Kai in Lake Placid, NY.

Here are some of Evelyn's recent tournament accomplishments:

• 2001 - Stevenston Tournament

              o Silver Medal: Kata (Girls 16-17 yrs Black Belt Kata)

• 2002 - Stevenston Tournament

              o Silver Medal: Kata (Girls 16-17 yrs Black Belt Kata)

• 2002 - BC Winter Games

              o Gold Medal: Kumite (Advanced Girl's Kumite)

• 2003 - CanAM Karate Challenge

              o Grand Champion (Girls 14-17 Forms)

• 2007 - 6th Seito Shito Ryu Karate-do Taikai - Lake Placid, NY

              o Silver Medal: Kata (Women's 18-35 yrs Black Belt Kata)
