Christopher began his Karate training in 1998, instructed by Sensei Tony Kim in the Seiko Kai Shito Ryu Karate-do style.
Later on, he trained under Kenny Lim, then under Sensei Mark Cheng and finally under Sensei William and Alice Chung at the Cambie Community Centre. Chris received his 1st Degree Black Belt in 2005. It was during his early years of training that Chris had acquired his long lasting nickname of “Skippy” due to the fact that he was always very lively and energetic. "Skippy" is also found training with his mother at the same dojo. |
