Alex Dee started training in 2000 at the age of 7. He trains in Shito Ryu Karate-do under the Seito Shito Ryu Canada Karate-do Kai, under Shihan William Chung & Sensei Alice Chung.
In 2011, Alex earned his Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) from the International Shihan Kai, which consists of the Japanese Executive council, the American Shihan Kai, & the Canadian Shihan Kai in Vancouver, BC. Here are some of Alex's recent tournament accomplishments: • 2001 - Karate B.C. Provincial Championship o Bronze Medal: Kumite • 2002 - Karate B.C. Provincial Championships o Silver Medal: Kata • 2003 - Sato Cup o Gold Medal: Kata • 2004 - Sato Cup o Bronze Medal: Kumite • 2005 - Fireball Challenge o Grand Champion (Kata 14 & Under) • 2005 - 26th Annual West Coast Can-Am Championships o Grand Champion (Kata 12 & Under) • 2005 - 5th World Shito Ryu Karate-do Championships, Osaka, Japan o Silver Medal: Kata • 2007 - Vancouver Cup o Silver Medal: Kata o Bronze Medal: Kumite • 2007 - 6th World Shito Ryu Karate-do Championships, Lake Placid, NY o Gold Medal: Kata o Silver Medal: Kumite • 2011 - 8th Seito Shito Ryu Karate-do International Taikai - Vancouver, BC o Canadian Team Member |
